Workplace Rights

Definition

Workplace rights are the entitlements and protections an employee has at work, including entitlements under the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards, enterprise agreements or employment contracts. They also include the right to make a complaint or inquiry about employment and the right to participate in industrial activities.
